Aaron A. Martinez
Partner
After more than 15 years of experience litigating complex commercial and construction law matters and developing a reputation as a leading trial and appellate attorney in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Aaron made the decision to focus his practice primarily in the construction law space and considered joining Slates Harwell Campbell his best opportunity to pursue that avenue. His practice includes, but is not limited to, construction defects, contract / fiduciary breaches, fraud, negligence, property disputes, and insurance disputes (including appeals and injunctive relief) in the construction, banking, and oil and gas industries. Aaron is adept at navigating case strategy at all phases of litigation, and is comfortable developing and managing comprehensive discovery plans and working towards creative and cost-effective solutions to his clients’ problems. While Aaron primarily works on resolving disputes, he also assists clients with transactional matters such as improvements and changes to construction form contracts, entity formation, waivers, vendor contracts, employment contracts, and buyout agreements.
Aaron was recognized as a “Texas Rising Star” from 2019 to 2022. He is admitted to practice in Texas, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas and Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas in 2006, and obtained his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2010.
Aaron is an avid Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoys spending time out of the office at the gym, with his fiancé and their two dogs, or out on the water.
